Important Devon Middle Announcements

The  Devon Middle School Band Programme will have an information and registration night Monday October 25 at 6:30pm in the School Music Room. Principal Gallant, Mr. Steeves (Music teacher) and Mr. Moralis our Band Director will all be on hand  to present the programme and answer any questions. All interested students and parents should attend. A parent volunteer committee will need to be setup that evening as well to provide the needed support. We intend to hold our first rehearsal next week! 

2. Devon Middle School will hold its first school dance of the year this Thursday, October 21st from 6:30 - 9:00PM with an admission price of $5.00. Parents, please ensure that your children are picked up promptly at 9:00PM. Please note that the regular school policy for appropriate dress is in effect. We will, however, allow ball cps to be worn. In addition, there are not to be any cell phones or cameras of any kind in use at the dance.

3. A note to parents that "ClubFred Grafx" will be set up at the dance and on Friday during the noon hour selling the new line of Devon Middle School clothing. 12 Hours for the Homeless - Huge Success!

On the evening of Saturday, October 16^th, 24 students from Devon Middle School took part in the 12 hours for the Homeless fundraiser. Broken up into 4 teams, and under the supervision of Mr. Kelly, Ms. Lafford and parent Chaperons, Allison Meyers and Joey Meyers; under less than desirable weather conditions for part of the night I might add, students constructed 4 shelters using only cardboard boxes, duck tape & plastic tarps. These students raised over $840, with Luke white raising $147 of this; which, goes to Chrysalis House, Fredericton’s Women’s Shelter.

The following students took part: Jackson Brooker, Jordan Melanson, Josh Pronko, Joshua Melanson, Luke White, Miradi Gashi, Dylan Horseman, Carlee Mills, Sydney Rickard, Haley Stairs, Tricia Harris, Abigail Campbell, Alysha Stokes, Chelsea Estey, Emily Estabrooks, Kathleen Carr, Nicholas Campbell, Sebastian Jones, Abby Wilson, Kendra Jeffries, Krista Norad, Olivia Myers, Peyton Hoyt, Summer Nicholson, Victoria Bunker.

Thank you to Mr. Kelly for organizing this event. Also, thank you To Mme. Lasalle who graciously brought coffee to the chaperones and hung out to support the event; Marie Lafford who provided some Tim Horton treats; as well, to all parents who dropped in throughout the night to help out.
